Being a parent is one of the most challenging yet rewarding roles we have. When we are faced with constant challenges from the young people we unconditionally love, we can feel overwhelmed, isolated, and maybe judged. To help navigate these feelings, we offer integrative therapy options and online therapy sessions. Additionally, we run parent support groups and individual sessions for parents.
If you require targeted assistance, our single session offerings are ideal. These sessions focus on specific issues, providing clarity, guidance, strategies and therapeutic interventions to help you move forward with confidence during challenging moments.
We facilitate parent support groups and programmes for both parents and children, creating a non-judgemental, confidential safe space for parents to share common concerns. Through integrative therapy approaches, we work together to learn effective strategies. These informal online therapy sessions foster a positive support network for both parents and children.
We facilitate one-to-one and group supervision sessions for both trainee and qualified therapists, also staff members. Our focus is on providing collaborative supervision within a safe, non-judgmental space to discuss and support you in your work. By using an integrative approach, we encourage the growth and exploration of your practice or workload. Our supervision ensures that the needs of your clients, pupils, and colleagues are being met through high standards of ethical, professional, and non-discriminatory practice as set out in the BACP Ethical Framework.
Individual sessions
Pupils can receive one to one therapeutic support at school in a designated confidential space, where they can express/ share their challenges an offload the burdens they have been carrying, we will be working together and supporting them to get back on track, whilst teaching them coping tools and strategies. This programme has been so helpful , my son was really struggling with anxiety and low self. esteem, we have been on a waiting list for support for so long, so this was instant access to help him, it really has made a difference, thank you
Absolutely brilliant resource, easy to follow, child friendly, my child really felt like they were actually in a session with you. I also learnt the tips aswell.
Just wanted to say thank you , this programme has made a real difference to my daughter and myself, the resources were great, and the explainations of how it all works, it is something we can continue to use,
I cannot thank you enough, what a brilliant resource, my daughter found it so easy to follow and she enjoyed doing the calming strategies with you, it felt personalised to her, which was so helpful,.
This really helped my son, and it is something that he can use when he is feeling anxious, he goes to the calming techniques and sits with you, as you say instant access, we love it thanks
Thank you for all the support help and guidance you have given me, you have helped me to understand the way my brain works!! And embrace my neurodiversity enabling me to see the positive side of it.
Thank you for supporting me through some very challenging times, for teaching me strategies and helping me to actually believe in myself
Amanda is positive, supportive, caring and energetic, providing lots of practical solutions for parents trying to help their children. I think that when we started the course quite a few of us were despairing of ever being able to help our children feel less anxious, but even after the first session we all felt lighter and more positive.
One of the other things that made a huge difference was just bringing us together to talk and share our experiences and feelings. We all knew we were there because we had anxious children so there was nothing to hide, and it was so nice to bond with other people from different year groups at different stages of the primary school journey. Covid has had a massive impact on the anxiety levels of already anxious children, and as their parents, trying to keep them going, trying to get them into school each day, we manage to keep it together for them but don’t always have an outlet for ourselves. Off the back of the course we are going to try and stay in contact, possibly with a whatsapp group so we can carry on supporting each other.
This course has been so incredibly helpful for both me and my son. I didn’t imagine how helpful I would find it for myself when I signed up. Many of the techniques are useful daily tools for parents too which in turn puts us in a better place to help our children. Aside from the specific tools and techniques I’ve learned I’ve found the group so beneficial because it has brought together parents from different years that we wouldn’t ordinarily mix with and it’s so useful to get an understanding of how children’s anxiety manifests itself in different age groups. This is something we wouldn’t normally be privy to and I’ve found it very helpful. The support from yourself and fellow attendees as well as the community feel has been invaluable and thank you for creating such an open and non-judgmental space for us. You have been so supportive and understanding and also you’re so sincere, which might sound like an unusual compliment but it’s very clear that you not only know what you are talking about but that you have lived it too. I would be very keen to keep in touch with everyone and also to attend any further relevant courses. Thank you again. I hope you know how much you’ve helped us all.
Thank you so much for running this group, It has been really helpful to learn new skills in order to support my child. I have also found the other parents in the group an invaluable resource and am looking forward to continuing supporting each other going forward.
I have found the format of the groups extremely well structured and informative and have enjoyed sharing our progress over the weeks.
Thanks so much, Amanda. There's no doubt that the support you have given, and all the resources you've shared, have made a tricky term easier.
I've really valued the opportunity to be part of the course and share experiences with such a lovely group of people.
