Parenting Challenging behaviour

Informative guide on anxiety, its effects, group support methods, and outcomes for children and parents.

Identifying individual anxiety is essential in our anxiety management approach. We provide psycho-education around anxiety and explore how it physically manifests for each participant. Our online support programmes teach relaxation techniques, mindfulness, and coping strategies for panic attacks. Additionally, we utilize CBT tools to combat anxious thoughts and help change thought patterns to more realistic ones. These groups are run separately for adults and children over 10 years, addressing various parenting challenges as well.

We explore parenting challenges in your households and with your children, supporting you to find strategies for anxiety management to address challenging behaviour. We focus on diffusing confrontation, maintaining parental presence, prioritizing the main issue first, then working on smaller concerns, rebuilding relationships, identifying support networks, and gaining a support network through online support programmes, all while emphasizing the importance of self-care.

Participants can identify negative core beliefs related to anxiety management and challenge those beliefs to find more realistic perspectives. By discovering positive descriptions of themselves and recognizing their strengths, they enhance their confidence and interpersonal skills. Additionally, this group addresses parenting challenges by using NLP and CBT techniques to shift mindsets from negative self-belief to positive self-belief, ultimately fostering personal growth and resilience.

Promotes a sense of belonging that encourages acceptance and support for those new to the school community, which is essential for anxiety management. This environment fosters self-esteem and enables more vulnerable young people to feel accepted in a group space. By utilizing a variety of interpersonal skills, listening to others, and embracing diversity in a safe environment, students develop cognitive and social competence. Positive peer interactions help in exploring negative fears, while also offering online support programmes to assist those facing parenting challenges. Additionally, creating a support network within the school setting allows peers to help and support one another in a therapeutic environment.
